Dr Kathryn Hallsten is board certified in Internal Medicine. She retired from full time medical practice in August 2022. She graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Stanford University with a BA in Psychology with honors and distinction. She earned her medical degree from the University of California San Francisco Medical School, graduating Alpha Omega Alpha. Dr. Hallsten completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in Santa Clara, a teaching hospital affiliated with Stanford University School of Medicine. She has been on the Clinical Faculty at Stanford University School of Medicine.
In September 2000, Dr. Hallsten started the concierge practice model at the Menlo Medical Clinic as part of Stanford Health Services. She continues to provide consulting and occasional practice coverage for Caras Health physicians.
She is married and has two adult sons. In addition to medicine, she enjoys golf, hiking and all things French.
