[photo] Emma Morton-Bours, M.D.Dr. Emma Morton-Bours is board certified in internal medicine and has been practicing medicine in the bay area for the past 13 years. She is on the clinical faculty at Stanford Hospital.

Emma grew up in Portola Valley and attended Gunn High School. She received her B.A in molecular biology from Princeton, where she graduated summa cum laude and was a Merck Scholar. She received her M.D. from Stanford where she received the Allen B. Barbour award for excellence in clinical medicine. She has published several medical research studies in areas ranging from infertility and infectious disease to the education of physicians in training. Her paper on clinical problem solving was published in The New England Journal of Medicine in July 2000.

Emma completed her internal medicine residency and chief residency at Boston's Brigham and Women's Hospital. While at the Brigham, she received the Harvard Medical School Teaching Award, the Resident Mentor Award, and the Golden Stethoscope Award.Thanks to her intensive training in internal medicine, Emma is well equipped to manage a wide range of adult and adolescent medical concerns.

Emma lives in Portola Valley with her husband Jon, and her three sons, Alex, Cole, and Reid.
